First Aid Level 1

DESCRIPTION PELATIHAN FIRST AID SERTIFICATION

This course provides the first aider with the knowledge and skills to carry out emergency first aid for life threatening injuries and illnesses, as well as to provide first aid care for injuries and illnesses in the home or in the workplace.

COURSE CONTENT PELATIHAN FIRST AID SERTIFICATION

2.   Assessing the situation
3.   Signs of life
4.     Performing CPR
5.     Demonstrating the use of an automated external defibrillator
6.     Care of the unconscious person
7.     Special techniques for children and infants
8.     CPR in special circumstances
9.     Breathing emergencies including choking and asthma
10.     Shock
11.     Severe allergic reaction
12.     Bleeding and wound care
13.    Infection control
14.     Reporting procedures

FIRST AID LEVEL 2

DESCRIPTION

This course teaches the fundamental principles, knowledge and skills to enable the first aider to provide emergency care for injuries and illnesses, in the home or the workplace.

19.     Musculoskeletal injuries
20.    Infection control
21.    Reporting procedures

FIRST AID LEVEL 3

DESCRIPTION

This course provides the occupational first aider with the more advanced knowledge and skills to carry out emergency first aid for injuries and illnesses in the workplace. It will also provide information on state and federal legislations as it applies to workplace first aid.

COURSE CONTENT

1.     Apply legislation in the workplace
2.     Manage safety in the workplace
3.     Recognition of toxic hazards in the workplace
4.     Care of welfare in the workplace
5.     Care of first aid facilities
6.     Completing documentation
7.     Assessment of a casualty
8.     Bleeding and wound care
9.     Administration of medications
10.    Management of musculoskeletal injuries
11.     Apply principles of triage
12.     Identification of confined spaces in the workplace.
