Training Objectives
It is designed to expose participants to best practices in managing Invitation to Tender (ITT). At the end of training, participants will be able to : Understand the process of tendering, Prepare effective ITT, Manage the tender invitation process and know legal issues and procedures in contract tendering.
Course Content
1. The concept of effective tender management
2. Supply market analysis and Managing supplier relationships.
3. The tendering process and methods
4. The pre qualification process (Preparing invitation & Evaluating requests)
5. Preparing a tender invitation package bid documents, tender plan and drafting a contact
6. Supplies evaluation and selection
7. Receipt of the tenders (evaluation & negotiation)
8. Legal issues and procedures in contract tendering and management
9. Global issues and guidelines in tendering
10. Payment procedures and mechanisms
11. Ethical and integrity issues in procurement
Who Should Attend
The course targets members of tender boards and contract managers/committees and officers, Project Managers, Project Engineers, and procurement related staff plus any other person interested to contributions towards successful tendering.
